Texas Country Music Hall of Fame Member and writer of "Whiskey River," Johnny Bush began performing with a band in 1952 in San Antonio. Soon the band hired a young guitarist named Willie Nelson, and Johnny and Willie became lifelong friends. Johnny went on to play and sing with Texas legends Ray Price, Bob Wills and Lefty Frizzell. His solo hits started coming in 1967 with "Undo the Right" and his own version of "Whiskey River."

This favored son of Texas has received standing ovations by audiences ranging from the Ryman Auditorium to Carnegie Hall. His debut album, Introducing Johnny Rodriguez, went to #1 on all three major trade charts, and by 1973 he was nominated by the Country Music Association for "Male Vocalist of the Year" and won the Billboard Trend Setter Award for first Mexican-American to capture a national audience.

Just a few of Johnny's classic hits during this period included "Pass Me By," "You Always Come Back (To Hurting Me)," "Riding My Thumb To Mexico," "That's The Way Love Goes," and "Just Get Up And Close The Door." He was inducted into the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in 2007.

Johnny Lee, was born in Texas City, Texas, and is a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. In 1968, he began a 10-year working relationship with Mickey Gilley, at the world-famous nightclub, Gilley’s, in Pasadena, Texas. 

He was asked to perform in the film, Urban Cowboy, which starred John Travolta and Deborah Winger. "Lookin' For Love" came from that movie soundtrack and became Lee's 1st “Gold Record.” The song spent 3 weeks as #1 on the Billboard Country Music Charts and #2 on the Pop Music Charts, later becoming one of the Top 100 best Country Songs of All Time. His string of Top 10 hits include: "One In A Million," - "Bet Your Heart On Me," - "Cherokee Fiddle," - "Sounds Like Love," - "Hey Bartender," -  "You Could've Heard a Heart Break,” and Many, Many More.

A passionate and articulate advocate for the arts, Evan Mitchell looks constantly for ways to reach new audiences, and to inspire in others a love for music. The Texas Commission on the Arts recently named Evan to its Texas Touring Roster, a program that provides grants to nonprofit presenters in order to fund performances by the state’s finest musicians, poets, visual artists, and more. When a regiment of Mexican soldiers bearing gold intended to pay for new weapons is waylaid by the Rojo brothers, the stranger inserts himself into the middle of the long-simmering battle, selling false information to both sides for his own benefit.

Al is a multi award-winning Elvis Tribute Artist who has taken his show across the country for the past 12 years. He is considered one of the top Elvis tribute artists in the business, having won first place at the 2016 Ultimate Orlando, and finishing in the top 5 in the world at the 2017 Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis. In October 2017, Al won first place at the Elvis Fantasy Festival in Portage, IN. This victory earned Al a spot to compete for the 3rd year in a row at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest in Memphis in August 2018, where he placed 4th in the world. NET Health Presents: Someone You Love

NET Health is implementing an educational grant from the Texas Department of State Health Services that is aimed to increase the HPV vaccination rates among kids, teens and young adults between the ages of 9 - 26.  The HPV vaccine has been proven to prevent the development of cervical cancer, throat cancer, and many diseases by having a person to complete the HPV series of vaccinations during their youth.

"Someone You Love" is an 80 minute movie that tells the story of five families who have been affected in one way or another by someone who did or did not receive the HPV vaccine.

This movie is available for any parent, any school student, college student or interested community member to view.  NET Health will also be able to provide 1.3 Continuing Education Units (CEU's) for doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who would like to attend this free public showing of "Someone You Love".

NET Health’s Immunization team will be available after the movie to answer questions and to provide vaccines for HPV and the flu, among others.

Like her brother, Jerry Lee, Rockabilly Hall of Fame member, Linda Gail Lewis, soaked up the sounds of hillbilly music and rhythm and blues in the rural areas of Louisiana as a youngster. When Jerry Lee began to score hits with “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On” and “Great Balls of Fire," he singlehandedly lifted the family from dire poverty to a life of relative ease. Linda Gail’s chief inspiration was Jerry Lee, but later, as the era of rock ‘n’ roll came into play, she also tuned into the sounds of Brenda Lee, Patsy Cline and Lavern Baker. She toured with Jerry for 18-years and performs more than 150 concerts annually, many of which are overseas.
