Reel Talk: Alien (1979)

Come to our first night of Reel Talk, a new program created by the Tyler Public Library and Liberty Hall, where attendees can watch timeless classics and discover new favorites, then stay afterward to connect with like-minded people by discussing the film. For our first night, we will watch and discuss Alien (1979). This sci-fi mystery takes place in deep space, where the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.
